One Piece Mini-Game Hub
The Concept
The One Piece Mini-Game Hub is a cross-platform mobile application that combines fun, interactivity, and anime fandom into a polished user experience. Inspired by the beloved anime "One Piece," the app delivers multiple game modes that test player knowledge and strategy while showcasing custom visuals and animations.
Targeted toward anime enthusiasts, the goal was to create a fan-centered app that works on both Android and iOS devices, provides real-time leaderboard features, user accounts, and friend-based interaction for replayability and engagement.
Game Modes
- Bounty Challenge: Rank randomly assigned One Piece characters based on their power level using a custom-designed point system.
- Connections: Group characters into 4 hidden categories using logic, with strike-based gameplay.
- Build Your Crew: Choose one character from each category to form a strategic crew. Tracks accuracy and rewards optimal team building.

- Frontend: Flutter (Dart), responsive UI, animations via AnimatedOpacity
- Backend: Firebase Firestore (data persistence), Firebase Auth (user accounts)

- Asset Management: JSON-based character databases, dynamic loading
- Performance: Optimized asset caching, efficient state handling for low-latency gameplay
User System & Social Features
- Login & Signup: Users can securely create accounts and log in using Firebase Authentication.
- Leaderboard System: Global and friend-specific leaderboards are implemented using Firestore queries, ranking players by daily, weekly, and all-time scores.
- User Profiles: Each player has a persistent profile storing performance stats, game history, and friend lists.
- Friend Requests: A full request/accept/reject flow allows users to build friend networks and view friends-only rankings.

What I Learned
This project helped me deepen my knowledge of full-stack mobile development. I strengthened my ability to design scalable UI architectures and integrate cloud databases efficiently. I also improved at handling cross-platform compatibility issues and implementing user-centric features like account systems and social interaction flows.
